Malaga/Granada: The Romans & the Moors (Sept 2026)

Study Trip Overview

With an impressive amphitheatre, grand baths and luxury villas, Malaga was an important imperial port for the Romans.  Explore the long-lasting impact that the Romans had on the language, religion and legal system in this region.


Following the collapse of the Roman empire, the Moors ruled Granada and Malaga for 8 centuries and left their mark on this region.  Learn about the history of this period through the art and architecture left by the Moors.


Enjoy the local cuisine and of course the sangria in restaurants, cafes and other eateries across the city. Various dietary requirements can be met.

14 - 17 September (Monday - Thursday)


Daily Schedule:  

10:00 - 13:00           Tour or Workshop

13:00 - 15:00           Lunch

Fees

Monday - Thursday 10:00 - 15:00.  Euro 565 per student traveller.  +Euro 485 for repeat student traveller.  Fee includes all admission, workshop/tour, lunch and local transportation charges.

Seville: Columbus & the New World (September 2026)

Study Trip Overview

Born in Genoa and inspired by the travels of Marco Polo, Christopher Columbus headed out to the open ocean in search of a western route to Asia and brought back to Spain the riches of the New World.  Having unified Spain under their Catholic rule and having sponsored Columbus' voyage, Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand made Seville the center of the Spanish Empire upon his return.  Explore this controversial period of Spanish history with local historians and artisans and enjoy Spain's contributions to world music, dance and food.


Lunches and local transportation are included in the Study Trip fee.  Enjoy the local cuisine and of course the sangria in restaurants, cafes and other eateries across the city. Various dietary requirements can be met.
