Study Trip Registrations Open for December 2024 - June 2025
Study Trip Registrations Open for December 2024 - June 2025
Please take time to read the following terms and conditions carefully. They are important and form the basis of your contract with Horizon International Ltd. Please print a copy and keep it for your records.
Your contract is with Horizon International Ltd., trading as Hi-EduCations. Horizon International Ltd. is a company registered in England (Number 05881398), and our registered office is at 96 Kensington High Street, London W8 4SG, United Kingdom. We can be contacted by phone on +44 (0)20 3667 8782 and by email at info@hi-educations.com.
The language of the contract is English. If the contract is translated into another language, the English language text shall prevail.
Your Registration Form is submitted to us online. Upon receipt of your registration request, we send a confirmation email detailing your registration and issue an invoice. It is important that you check carefully the confirmation email and invoice and contact us straightaway if you believe any of the details on it are incorrect.
A contract will exist once we have received your payment. Payments can be made by bank transfer or debit/credit card. Debit/credit card payments may incur a surcharge. If we do not receive your payment by 14 days before the course start date, we will release the place(s) reserved. Receipt of payment will be confirmed via email.
We keep copies of both your Registration Form and our confirmation/payment receipt emails for such periods as are required by English law. They are not, however, available for you to view on our Site and you should ensure that you print copies for your records.
If any provision of the contract is declared void, illegal, or unenforceable, the remainder of the contract shall be valid and enforceable to the extent permitted by law.
Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with the contract or its subject matter or formation.
The fees on this Site are in GBP, Euros and USD and are subject to change without notice. Fees displayed at any moment in time supersede all other fees previously displayed or that appear in any advertisements, printed material, or other places.
Once you have made your registration and paid the Study Trip fees, the cost of your Study Trip will not be subject to any change. This does not apply to invoice errors or omissions. Once a registration has been accepted, offers and discounts cannot be applied retrospectively. Unless otherwise stated, fees include any applicable VAT and other UK taxes.
If you wish to make any change to your registration, please contact us as soon as you can. We will endeavour to accommodate your new requirements although please note that we are unable to accept change requests (except change of participants) for Study Trips due to start within 7 days of the date of the request. If the changed arrangements are more expensive than those originally booked, you must pay the difference before the change is confirmed. We cannot guarantee that any alternative you have in mind will be available and you must not assume that we have been able to accept your change request until you receive a change confirmation message or email from us. In addition to any fee difference, the following charges are payable (per person) in connection with any change:
Period from Change Request to Programme Start: Charge
- More than 14 days: Nil
- 7-14 days: 50% of relevant fee
- Less than 7 days: 100% of relevant fee
There is no charge for change of participants, which can be made at any time.
You have the right to cancel your registration by written notice to Hi-EduCations (Horizon International Ltd.), 96 Kensington High Street, London W8 4SG, United Kingdom, or by email to info@hi-educations.com. The amount we will refund you will be the amount you have paid less an administrative charge equivalent to the registration fee paid and the (per person) cancellation charges shown below. The amount you receive back depends on when we receive your cancellation notice and not when you send it. Any bank charges payable in relation to your refund will be payable by you.
Period from Cancellation Request to Programme Start: Charge
- More than 14 days: Nil
- 7-14 days: 50% of total fee excluding the registration fee
- Less than 7 days: 100% of total fee excluding the registration fee
From time to time, we may have to change the details of the Study Trip you have booked. It is also possible that we might have to cancel your Study Trip. For example, some Study Trips require a minimum number of participants to book to enable them to take place, and some may be dependent on one particular Study Trip Leader, who might fall ill.
We divide changes we may have to make to your Study Trip into minor and major changes. Minor changes include (but may not be limited to) changes to starting and finishing times (but not days), changes to venues (within 5 miles), and changes to instructors. Major changes include (but may not be limited to) changes to venues of more than 5 miles and changes to topics. We will endeavour to tell you about any changes as soon as we know about them.
If we have to make one or more minor changes, you will not be entitled to cancel the Study Trip or to receive a refund. If we have to make one or more major changes, however, you may either accept the change(s) or cancel the Study Trip and receive a full refund.
Except where cancellation is due to circumstances beyond our control (see below), if we have to cancel your Study Trip, we will offer a suitable alternative if available or a full refund if we are not able, in our opinion, to offer an alternative that is sufficiently comparable. If we have to change or cancel your Study Trip due to circumstances beyond our control (see below), we regret that we are unable to give a refund.
The maximum refund we will pay per person per Study Trip is that stated above. That is to say, two or more major changes or a major change followed by a cancellation do not give rise to an entitlement to more than one payment.
When we use the words "circumstances beyond our control", we mean unforeseeable and unusual circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which could not be avoided even if all due care had been exercised by us. These include (but are not limited to) war, threat of war, terrorism, threat of terrorism, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute involving businesses other than ours, public transport failure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, and adverse weather conditions including floods.
We accept responsibility for those elements of your Study Trip which are under our direct control and for the acts and/or omissions of our employees. Save as set out below, no liability is accepted for personal injury or death.
We do accept responsibility for any personal injury or death which results from the negligent (as the word is understood in English Law) acts or omissions of any employees working on our behalf in the provision of services or facilities to you and whilst acting within the scope of their employment.
We cannot be held responsible for any inability to provide all or part of a Study Trip, any loss of enjoyment or any additional expenses due to any circumstances beyond our control (see above). We can only be liable for the provision of special requests where we have confirmed their availability in writing.
We shall not be liable in respect of any loss of profits, damage to goodwill or any type of special, indirect or consequential loss even if such loss was reasonably foreseeable or we have been advised of the possibility of you incurring the same. Subject to the above, and excluding liability for death or personal injury (where we do not limit our liability in financial terms), our liability shall be limited to 2 times the price paid for the course in respect to all claims arising out of any contract incorporating these terms of registration.
You must fully advise us when registering of any illness, disabilities, or social or behavioural problems that a participant currently has, or has recently experienced, which might affect him or her or other participants during the Study Trip for which you have registered. We may request written confirmation from your doctor confirming the suitability of the Study Trip for the participant with particular reference to such considerations as physical access, successful participation, and health and safety. We will naturally treat any personal information sensitively and respect confidentiality. We will not retain any person information beyond the time we need it.
We are committed to making our Study Trips as accessible to as many people as possible. However, very occasionally, we may not be able to provide the service required, and in these rare cases, we will refund any fees paid, prorated for any days of the Study Trip already attended and subject to administrative charges incurred, provided all relevant details have been given to us at the time of registration. If all relevant details have not been provided to us and it is apparent at the start or becomes apparent during a Study Trip that the participant has any illness, disabilities, or social or behavioural problems which in the circumstances cannot be accommodated, we reserve the right to exclude that participant from the Study Trip. No refund would be given in this case.
We also reserve the right to exclude any person from any Study Trip if his or her behaviour is inappropriate and incompatible with the general enjoyment and wellbeing of others.
You must ensure that you and others in your group have appropriate travel insurance, including medical expenses cover, for your trip.
Your personal property is solely your responsibility at all times, unless any loss or damage is due to our negligence or failure to carry out our responsibilities.
Personal information is requested at the time of registration and subsequently held on computer or paper. This information is required to allow our employees, agents, sub-contractors and suppliers to provide your chosen programme. By providing us with the information required for registration, you are deemed to accept the above and to have gained consent from all members of your party (and where relevant, their parents or guardians) to disclose their details to us.
All credit or debit card payments will be handled through third parties, and we will not have access to your financial information.

We regularly take photographs and videos for promotional and training purposes. If you do not want yourself or your children to appear in these, you must write to Hi-EduCations (Horizon International Ltd.), 96 Kensington High Street, London W8 4SG, United Kingdom, or email info@hi-educations.com prior to the Study Trip commencing. For the avoidance of doubt, any Intellectual Property Rights shall belong to Hi-EduCations.
We want you to enjoy your Study Trip. If you have any problems, we want to put them right as quickly as we can. If there is anything you are not happy with, please bring it to the attention of the Study Trip staff or the Study Trip Leader as soon as possible. Alternatively, if you prefer, please contact Hi-EduCations by email at info@hi-educations.com. If you fail to follow this procedure, we will be deprived of the chance for us to investigate and rectify your complaint whilst you are on the Study Trip, and this will reduce, or possibly extinguish, your rights to compensation.
If we have not been able to find a satisfactory solution for you during the Study Trip, you have 28 days from the last day of the Study Trip to contact us and explain your complaint. You can write to info@hi-educations.com. We will not normally consider complaints received or confirmed outside these time periods, except those relating to personal injury or death. The reason for this is that it is difficult, if not impossible, to investigate complaints unless we are told about them during or shortly after the end of a course.
