Marco Polo, a 13th-century Venetian merchant and explorer, ignited the European imagination through the description of his travels on the Silk Road. Discover the Venice of his time when this city state was at the crossroad of trade between the East and the West. Through workshops and discussions with local historians and experts, explore how this trade made the Republic of Venice such a wealthy and powerful force in 14th and 15th century Europe.
Meals and accommodation are included. Enjoy local dishes that use the seafood from the lagoon and produce grown in the region. Various dietary requirements can be met. Accommodation in a historic building in central Venice within walking distance to boat stop and train/bus station. Wifi as well as lift access available.
